This Privacy Policy explains how Dartful ("the app," "we," "us") collects, uses, and stores information when you use it.
| Data type | Used for | Where it's stored |
|---|---|---|
| Player names | Game profiles | Locally, and synced to our backend (Supabase) |
| Player photos | Player avatars | Locally only — never synced |
| Game history | Match stats and results | Locally, and synced to our backend (Supabase) |
| Household ID | Syncing data across your devices | Locally, and synced to our backend (Supabase) |
| Purchase / subscription status | Unlock tracking | Verified with Apple / Google Play |
| Device information | Platform detection | Processed locally only |
We do not use advertising networks. See the Analytics section below for details on Firebase Analytics.
Player names personalize game profiles and sync across devices in your household. Player photos are used only for local avatars and never leave your device. Game history tracks scores and results. Household ID lets your data sync across devices in the same household. Purchase/subscription status determines which features are unlocked. Device information is used only to ensure the app runs correctly on your device.
The app generates a random 6-character household code on first use, grouping your players, game history, and settings together in our backend so they can be shared across devices you choose to sync.
The household code is not an account, login, or password, and isn't tied to your identity. Because it's a short code rather than a secure credential, it should not be treated as private or shared publicly — anyone with the code can access that household's synced data. You can generate a new code at any time within the app to start fresh.
Supabase stores and syncs player profiles, game history, and household data on our behalf. Apple App Store / Google Play Billing process all purchases and subscriptions directly — we never receive or store your payment details, only confirmation of your purchase or subscription status.
Dartful's announcer voice was generated using ElevenLabs' AI text-to-speech technology during development. No player data is sent to ElevenLabs or any AI service while you use the app — all voice lines are pre-recorded and included in the app itself.
Dartful uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used, so we can improve it. We track a small number of general usage events:
| Event | What it tells us |
|---|---|
| App opened | How often the app is used |
| Mode selected | Which game mode was chosen (e.g. "Classic") |
| Game completed | Which mode a completed game was played in |
| Paywall shown | Where the subscription screen was triggered from |
| Subscription activated | That a purchase or restore succeeded |
None of these events include player names, household codes, dart scores, or any other personal or competitive data.
Firebase Analytics also automatically collects standard technical information — your device model, OS version, app version, session length, and a Google Advertising ID. The Google Advertising ID can be reset or opted out of at any time in your device's system settings. We do not use this data for advertising, and Dartful does not show ads.
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information at any time by contacting us below. Deleting the app removes locally stored data with it. Data synced to Supabase will be deleted upon request.
Dartful is not directed at children under 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your region), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us below so we can delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
