Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Dartful ("Dartful," "the app," "we," "us") collects, uses, stores and shares information when you use the app. Dartful is operated by Dartful (ABN 71 750 280 621), a registered Australian business based in Victoria, Australia.

Information We Collect

Custom cat and player images you add stay on your device and are never synced. Non‑image gallery information — names, labels and which image is assigned where — may sync with your household data.

We do not use advertising networks. See the Analytics section below for details on Firebase Analytics.

How We Use Your Information

Player names personalize game profiles and sync across devices in your household. Player photos are used only for local avatars and never leave your device. Game history tracks scores and results. Household ID lets your data sync across devices in the same household. Purchase/subscription status determines which features are unlocked. Game settings and custom gallery metadata keep your app configuration consistent and sync it across household devices. Analytics and diagnostic information helps us understand how the app is used and diagnose failures. Device and app information is used for compatibility and diagnostics, and is also processed by Firebase Analytics.

How Household Syncing Works

The app generates a random 6-character household code on first use, grouping your players, game history, and settings together in our backend so they can be shared across devices you choose to sync.

The household code is not an account, login, or password, and isn't tied to your identity. Because it's a short code rather than a secure credential, it should not be treated as private or shared publicly — anyone with the code can access that household's synced data. You can generate a new code at any time within the app to start fresh.

Third-Party Services

Supabase stores household codes, player names, settings, game history and non‑image gallery metadata on our behalf.

Google Firebase Analytics processes usage events, app‑instance identifiers, device and app information, and diagnostic events.

Apple App Store / Google Play Billing process all purchases and subscription status directly — we never receive or store your payment details, only confirmation of your purchase or subscription status.

ElevenLabs was used in development only to generate the announcer voice. No data is transferred to ElevenLabs while you use the app.

We require service providers that process data on our behalf to handle it consistently with this policy and applicable privacy requirements. These providers may process information in countries outside Australia.

Analytics

Dartful uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand app usage and improve its features. Events may include app opens, game‑mode selections, games started and completed, selected game configuration options, where a subscription screen appeared, subscription activation information, and storage‑failure diagnostics. Storage diagnostics may include the affected storage area, an error description and approximate payload size.

These events do not contain player names, household codes, player photos or individual dart scores.

Firebase may automatically process technical information including device model, operating‑system and app versions, language or region, session information and an app‑instance or device identifier. Dartful's iOS build is configured without IDFA collection capability. Dartful does not use this information for advertising, does not display advertising and does not track users across other companies' apps or websites.

Analytics are enabled when you use the app, and the current release does not include an in‑app setting to turn them off.

Data Retention

Locally stored data remains on the device until it is deleted through the app, replaced, or the app is removed. Synced household data is retained in Supabase until deletion is requested or the service is discontinued. Purchase records are retained by Apple or Google under their own policies. Firebase retains analytics information according to the retention settings configured for Dartful's Firebase project.

Your Choices and Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of information associated with your household code by contacting us below. Include the household code in your request so we can locate the relevant records. Deleting the app removes local data but does not automatically delete data previously synced to Supabase.

Children's Privacy

Dartful is a general‑audience darts game and is not designed or marketed specifically for children. Children may use Dartful as part of a household under the supervision of a parent or guardian.

A parent or guardian should create and manage household profiles for children and should use a first name or nickname rather than a child's full legal name. Player photos remain on the device and are not uploaded. Household profile names, game history and settings may be synced to Supabase as described above.

We do not ask users to provide their age. If you are a parent or guardian and believe information relating to a child has been submitted without appropriate permission, contact us at dartfulapp@gmail.com with the household code and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
